Painting Blue Horrors (blue)

Introduction

After the unexpectedly dark squad of Horrors, I went for something... just blue.

Painting the skin

Basecoat Heavy Blue.

Diluted Night Blue glaze on the face, just to have it darker, as opposed to the first two squads.

Drakenhof Nightshade on the hands to pop out the details without darkening them down like the faces.

Electric Blue drybrush. I initially wanted to do this only over the hands and tentacles, but the faces lacked definition.

Finally, the savior of blue miniatures: Guilliman Blue glaze to mesh the colors together.

Painting other details

Tongues, as before.

Bone and metallics.

Flames and bases with blue crystals.

Finished!
